AI for your veterinary practice: more time for animals and owners, less office work. We work out with you where AI takes work off your practice team, train veterinary nurses and practice managers and put it into practice, connected to your practice software.
Repeat medication, callback requests, lab results, questions about invoices: admin takes up a lot of time at reception, often while the next dog is already waiting. AI Værk works with your practice or clinic from the first call to a solution in daily use. Owner and treatment data stays under your control, on a server in your practice if you prefer.

How we work with your veterinary practice
AI audit for your practice
We look at reception, phone, inbox and routines and show where AI genuinely takes work off your practice. €500, credited in full when you go ahead with implementation.
Pricing and AI auditWorkshop for your team
Veterinary nurses, vets and practice managers learn, on their own tasks, to use AI safely and in confidence. A good place to start, even without new software.
WorkshopsBuilding and connecting software
We automate recurring work at reception and connect it to your practice software, your inbox and your templates. Small solutions from around €2,000.
SolutionsCustom software and operation
Where standard software falls short, we build an application for your practice or clinic and take care of hosting and maintenance.
Custom developmentWhere AI saves your veterinary practice time
Handle repeat medication
Whether the request comes by form, email or answerphone, the software matches it to the right animal, looks up the last dispensing and creates a task for the treating vet.
File lab results and reports
The software matches lab results sent as PDFs and reports from referral clinics to the right animal and files them in your practice software. The vet sees new results straight away.
Answer invoice questions
When an owner asks what an item on the invoice covers or what their pet insurer needs, the software drafts the answer from the invoice and the treatment. Your team checks it and sends it.
Illustrative use case
A repeat order, ready to collect
-
01
The message comes in
One evening, an owner writes through the contact form that the thyroid tablets for her cat Mia run out at the weekend. There are two cats in the household.
-
02
The software prepares it
On the server in your practice, it finds the owner and the right cat in your practice software, looks up the last dispensing with product and dose and creates a task for the vet. It notes the blood test that is due as well.
-
03
The vet approves
In the morning, the vet checks the task and the team gets the medication ready. The owner gets a message telling her when to collect it, with a suggested appointment for the check.
Owner and treatment data stays where you decide.
Section 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB) names vets explicitly: what owners tell you is covered by professional secrecy. So you decide where the software runs, and we set it up exactly that way.
- Confidentiality in the contract: we and everyone involved commit in writing to professional secrecy. This meets the requirements of Section 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB).
- A data processing agreement under the GDPR, signed before the software sees real data.
- Your data is never used to train AI models.
- Every access is logged. You see who opened what, and when.
Connected to your practice software
Where your practice software offers an interface, we create tasks and documents directly on the right animal. Otherwise your team moves them across from a work list with one click. We work out which route suits your practice in the initial call.
What your software already does, you keep using, such as the lab connection and reminder manager in easyVET or sending emails and texts straight from Vetera. Our software takes on the messages that someone still sorts by hand today.

Working safely with AI: training for veterinary nurses and practice managers
Your team practises on a repeat order as it sits in the inbox in the evening: what does the software prepare, what does the AI see of it, and what does the vet decide? Use the switch to see how owner data stays protected.
“Good evening, Mia’s thyroid tablets run out at the weekend. This is Person 7712Sabine Krüger from Address 3Gartenweg 4. For a few days now, Mia has been drinking a lot. Could I collect the tablets tomorrow?”
- Your server inserts placeholders
- Sent encrypted
- Cloud AI processes it
- Your server puts the names back
Only your server knows which placeholder belongs to which person.
- Message arrives
- The AI on your server works with the full message
Nothing leaves your practice.
Find the right animal
Mia is one of two cats in the household. Compare the product and dose with the last dispensing for exactly this animal.
Protect owner data
Recognise which details the AI only sees as placeholders, then match the owner safely in the practice software.
Pass on the new symptom
Mia drinking a lot is a concern of its own. The nurse calls back and talks to the vet about whether Mia should be examined first.
Questions before getting started
Can we use AI with owner and treatment data?
Yes. Section 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB) names vets explicitly, and since 2017 it has allowed you to share confidential information with service providers, as far as their work requires it and provided they are bound to confidentiality. Owners’ names, addresses and phone numbers are also covered by the GDPR. We set out both in the contract, together with the data processing agreement. If the software and the AI model run on a server in your practice, the data stays on your premises from start to finish.
Does it work with our practice software?
Yes. Where easyVET, Vetera or inBehandlung offers an interface, we create tasks and documents directly on the right animal. Otherwise your team moves them across from a work list with one click. We check which route suits your practice in the AI audit, ideally together with your system support.
What does getting started cost?
The initial call is free. If the task is already clear, we move straight to a proposal. If a closer assessment is needed, the AI audit costs €500, fully credited towards implementation with AI Værk. Small solutions start at around €2,000. If we find no useful AI application, the audit fee is waived; previously agreed expenses remain payable. Our proposal lists setup, licences, hosting and support separately.
Is it worthwhile for a small practice?
Often especially there, because a few nurses cover reception, phone and the treatment room at once. In the AI audit we work with your figures. If it is not worth it, we tell you plainly.
Who works with us on implementation?
You work directly with us, the founders. Justus leads consulting, design and training; Elias is responsible for development, integration and operation. We are happy to work with your IT team or IT service provider.
Which requests hold up your reception the longest?
In the free initial call, tell us what keeps your practice team busy every day. We will show you where AI helps, what it costs and how it works with your practice software.
