AI for dental practices using CGM Z1: fewer front-desk queries, more time for treatment. We build AI software for dental practices using CGM Z1 and connect it to your inbox. Consulting, training for your team and ongoing operation are part of it.
After the consultation, the questions arrive by email: what will I pay myself for the crown? Does my bonus booklet count? Our software finds the patient in CGM Z1, reads the fixed subsidy, bonus and patient share from the treatment and cost plan (Heil- und Kostenplan) and writes a clear reply. Your team checks it and sends it. Patient data stays under your control, on a server in your practice if you prefer.

How we bring AI into your practice with CGM Z1
AI audit for your patient enquiries
We look at which questions about costs, appointments and lab work reach you today and show where software takes over the work. €500, credited in full when you go ahead with implementation.
Pricing and AI auditWorkshop for your team
Dental assistants, billing staff and practice managers learn, on their own tasks, to use AI safely and in confidence, including the AI services from CGM.
WorkshopsBuilding and connecting software
We build the software for your patient enquiries and connect it to CGM Z1 or Z1.PRO. Small solutions from around €2,000.
SolutionsOperation and further development
We host and maintain the software, add new questions and templates and are there when something needs fixing.
Custom developmentWhat the software takes over in your practice
Answer questions about costs and bonus
The software reads the figures from the treatment and cost plan and writes the reply so the patient understands it without calling back. Your team checks it and sends it.
Match lab invoices sent by email
Whatever does not come through eLAB-Z, such as a lab’s PDF invoice, the software matches to the right patient and job and compares it with the cost estimate.
Book appointment requests from the inbox
Appointment requests and cancellations that arrive by email become suggestions for your scheduling in CGM Z1. Your team confirms.
Illustrative use case
A question about a crown, answered with the figures from the cost plan
-
01
The question comes in
Two days after her consultation, a patient writes: how much will the crown on the lower right cost me, and does my bonus booklet count?
-
02
The software prepares the reply
It finds the patient in CGM Z1, reads the fixed subsidy, bonus and patient share from the treatment and cost plan and writes the reply in plain language. If a year is missing from the bonus booklet, it says which record is still needed.
-
03
Your team sends it
The dental assistant checks the figures and sends the reply. The patient knows what to expect and brings her bonus booklet to the next appointment.
Connected to CGM Z1 and Z1.PRO
For CGM Z1.PRO, CGM lists modules such as eLAB-Z for digital lab communication, CGM PRAXISARCHIV for document filing, and its own AI services for calls and patient enquiries, the CGM TelefonAssistent and CGM OnlineRezeption. Your team keeps using these features. Our software takes on the replies for which someone today looks up figures in the treatment and cost plan.

Patient data stays where you decide.
A treatment and cost plan shows findings and planned treatment. You decide where our software runs, and we set it up exactly that way.
- Confidentiality in the contract: we and everyone involved commit in writing to professional secrecy. This meets the requirements of Section 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB).
- A data processing agreement under the GDPR, signed before the software sees real data.
- Your data is never used to train AI models.
- Every access is logged. You see who opened what, and when.
Working safely with AI: training for cost questions
Your team practises on an email as it arrives after a consultation: what does the software read from it, what does the AI see of it, and what does the dentist decide? Use the switch to see how patient data stays protected.
“Hello, I still have one question: how much will the crown on the lower right cost me? This is Person 4402Claudia Hartmann, born on Date 214 June 1968. I have kept my bonus booklet since 2019. Since the temporary crown, the tooth has been very sensitive to cold.”
- Your server inserts placeholders
- Sent encrypted
- Cloud AI processes it
- Your server puts the names back
Only your server knows which placeholder belongs to which person.
- Message arrives
- The AI on your server works with the full message
Nothing leaves your practice.
Check the figures
Compare the fixed subsidy, bonus and patient share in the reply with the treatment and cost plan before it goes out.
Protect patient data
Match the name and date of birth in CGM Z1. The AI only sees placeholders, your server knows the real person.
Pass on the complaint
The tooth that is sensitive to cold does not belong in a reply about costs. The dental assistant tells the dentist and offers a check-up.
Questions about AI with CGM Z1
Can the software work with the data in CGM Z1?
Where your Z1 or Z1.PRO installation offers an interface, the software reads the details it needs there and creates replies and tasks directly in it. Otherwise your team moves them across from a work list with one click. We check which route suits you in the AI audit, ideally together with your system support.
Can we use AI with patient data?
Yes. Since 2017, Section 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB) has allowed dentists, like all professionals bound by secrecy, to share confidential information with service providers, as far as their work requires it and provided they are bound to confidentiality. That is exactly what we set out in the contract, together with the data processing agreement. If the software and the AI model run on a server in your practice, the data stays on your premises from start to finish.
We already use the CGM TelefonAssistent. Does this fit together?
Yes. The TelefonAssistent answers calls and summarises what callers need. Our software takes care of the questions for which someone would have to look up figures in the treatment and cost plan, and of whatever arrives by email.
What does AI cost for a practice using CGM Z1?
The initial call is free. If the task is already clear, we move straight to a proposal. If a closer assessment is needed, the AI audit costs €500, fully credited towards implementation with AI Værk. Small solutions start at around €2,000. If we find no useful AI application, the audit fee is waived; previously agreed expenses remain payable. Our proposal lists setup, licences, hosting and support separately.
How often do patients ask what they will pay themselves?
In the free initial call, tell us which questions reach you after consultations. We will show you what the software takes over, what it costs and how it works with CGM Z1.
