Tax assessments checked, client post filed in DATEV DMS. We build AI software for tax firms and connect it to DATEV DMS.

When an assessment arrives, our software compares it with the return you filed and shows every difference with its amount. It files your clients’ emails and attachments in the DMS by client, year and document type. Your tax adviser decides whether an objection is needed.

What the software takes over

Compare assessments with the return

The software reads the assessment, puts every assessed figure next to the declared one and marks where the tax office differs.

File client emails

It files emails and attachments from the firm’s inbox in the DMS by client, year and document type, following your filing rules.

Answer status questions

“Has my assessment arrived yet?” The software reads the status in the DMS and drafts the reply. Your team sends it.

Illustrative use case

From assessment to a decision on the objection

  1. 01

    Read the assessment

A married couple’s income tax assessment arrives. The software reads it and pulls the return you filed from the DMS.

  2. 02

    Show the difference

It finds one: the tax office did not accept €1,240 of expenses for the home office. Assessment and return sit side by side.

  3. 03

    Decide and file

The tax adviser decides on the objection. The software files the assessment in the DMS with a note and the deadline and drafts the letter to the clients.

Connected to your DATEV software

You work with DATEV DMS, DATEV Unternehmen online or another system. Checked assessments sit where your team looks for them. DATEV Unternehmen online Your software

DATEV DMS already recognises the year and document type of scanned assessments and creates the incoming item with its deadline. Our software adds what comes next: the comparison with the return, and the emails that never get scanned. Where an interface exists, we file straight into the DMS; otherwise your team moves the results across from a work list with one click.

Assessments and client post stay under your control.

Tax assessments are among the most confidential papers in your firm. You decide where the software reads them.

  • Confidentiality in the contract, as § 62a StBerG and Section 203 of the German Criminal Code require.
  • A data processing agreement under the GDPR, signed before the software sees real data.
  • The software only sees the clients your team releases to it. Every access is logged.

Your team practises on real incoming post

In the training your team works with post as it arrives every day. Use the switch to see what a cloud AI gets to see.

Email from a client
What the AI sees:

“Dear Mr Lorenz, attached is our tax assessment for 2025. The home office is missing, isn’t it? The assessment is dated 2 October. Kind regards, Person 5071Anna Wiese”

  1. Your server inserts placeholders
  2. Cloud AI does the work
  3. Your server puts the names back

Only your server knows which placeholder belongs to which person.

  1. Message arrives
  2. The AI on your server handles it in full

Nothing leaves your firm.

  1. File it correctly

Assign the forwarded assessment to the couple and to the year 2025.

  2. Check the difference

Compare the marked difference for the home office with the return.

  3. Secure the deadline

Note the objection deadline in the DMS, counting from the date of notification.

Questions about DATEV DMS

What does DATEV DMS already do itself?

Its incoming post assistant suggests client, date and filing details for scanned documents, and for assessments also the year, document type and deadline. You keep using it. Our software compares the assessment with the return and brings email into the DMS.

Does the software decide on the objection?

Your tax adviser makes that decision. The software shows her every difference with its amount and prepares the note and the letter to the client.

What does it cost?

The initial call is free. The AI audit costs €500 and is credited in full when you implement with AI Værk. Small solutions start at around €2,000. Hosting and support are listed separately in the proposal.

Who does the work?

You work directly with us, the founders. Justus leads consulting and training; Elias is responsible for development, integration and operation. We are happy to work alongside your IT provider.
